Step into the world of Ancient Greece with our Greek Mythology Enrichment Unit Study, thoughtfully designed to explore the stories, characters, and ideas of Greek mythology through a biblical worldview.
Using D’Aulaires’ Book of Greek Myths as the literature spine, students will encounter some of the most well-known myths of the ancient world while learning to think critically about the beliefs of the Greeks and compare them with the truth of Scripture.
This unit is the perfect addition to a classical Christian education, combining beautiful literature, history, meaningful discussion, and hands-on learning. Rather than simply reading the myths, students are encouraged to ask deeper questions: What did the ancient Greeks believe about their gods? What do these stories reveal about human nature? How are the Greek gods different from the one true God of the Bible? What can we learn about a culture by studying the stories it told?
