Curriculum

The The Good and the Beautiful Health and Human Body curriculum is a family-style science program designed to teach children how the body works while building healthy habits and character. This engaging, open-and-go curriculum combines colorful lesson books, interactive student journals, and optional videos to make learning simple and meaningful for both parents and students.

The program is divided into two main units: Health and the Physical Body and Health and the Human Mind. Students explore topics such as body systems (digestive, circulatory, respiratory, skeletal, and more), nutrition, hygiene, and genetics, alongside lessons on the brain, senses, emotions, and social health.

Lessons are designed to be hands-on and easy to teach, with activities, vocabulary work, and discussion built into each unit. The curriculum is taught at multiple levels (typically grades 3–8), allowing families or groups to learn together while providing age-appropriate extensions for older students.

Rooted in a gentle Christian worldview, the curriculum emphasizes gratitude, healthy living, and respect for the human body while remaining non-denominational.

Overall, this course offers a well-rounded introduction to human health, combining science, practical life skills, and character development in a format that is both flexible and easy to implement.

You are not required to purchase anything for the course but if you wish to do so, go for it.
