When learning about England, one must have a tea party. We can’t wait for this class with our students.

We will be covering historical figures in England, tea etiquette and more!

Great Britain is home to many wonderful authors and the amazing stories they have created.

Our students will be diving into an author study together while getting to practice their own creative skills.

How do you do Hillsiders? We can’t wait to adventure to Great Britain with you.

We will be exploring the regions that make up Great Britain including: England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Students will be working with maps and “visit” unique landmarks of the region.

Our first class field trip of the season will take place at the only French Bistro in Kingsport, TN.

You can’t visit France without a trip to an authentic French Bistro and Market.

During this class, students will be reviewing geography, sampling the culinary treats of France and experiencing the atmosphere of a French market.

France is home to beautiful art and famous artists!

Our students will get a chance to immerse themselves in these historical and beautiful paintings as they travel to the famous Louvre Museum in Paris, France.

Bonjour! An exciting day awaits as our students visit the beautiful country of France.

We will spend this day covering the landmarks and architecture of France.

In our Exploring Spain class we will dive deeper into the culture of what makes Spain unique.

We will spend our time learning about the importance of “Toro” in Spain, discussing the role of the matador, sampling traditional Spanish churros and recreating our own La Tomatina.

Our students will also listen to the wonderful read-aloud, The Story of Ferdinand by Munro Leaf.

Be sure and dress your kiddos for messy play today and bring a change of clothes!

Hola! Students will be traveling to the amazing country of Spain.

We will spend time visiting the amazing landmarks and learning about the incredible culture and architecture.

Students will complete an artist study on Antoni Gaudi and recreate a beautiful piece of artwork.

We can’t wait to see you on our first day of class for the 2024-2025 school year!

Students will begin their European journey by packing their trunks and stamping those passports. They will experience a sampling of European snacks and complete some simple mapwork.

We will have a complimentary photographer on-site for those sweet back to school photos so be sure and dress accordingly.

Please make plans to attend our back to school parent meeting at the GPF outdoor pavilion for all updates and information about the 2024-2025 school year.

We will be discussing important policies and procedures, classroom expectations, curriculum and our school calendar.

It’s time to celebrate!! Hillside is out for summer!

We are thrilled to be hosting and celebrating our students and their families at the Grace Point Fellowship worship center, Friday, May 17th at 6:00 PM. Everyone’s invited, parents, grandparents, and friends!

All students will be participating in a brief program showcasing their hymns and memory work for the year. Families will get to experience “A Day in the Life at Hillside”.

All our Kindergarten students will be participating in a Kindergarten graduation and receive a diploma.

Following the ceremony, we will have “gallery walk” where students can showcase their work throughout the year. It will be a sweet time for all our families!

Has it really been an entire year?! It’s hard to believe. We are so incredibly thankful and blessed by all our families and friends this school year.

We will spend this class reviewing some key components of our school year, practicing for our end of year ceremony, and having fun!

One week of Egypt is simply not enough!

We will continue our journey through ancient and modern day Egypt.

What is a day in the life of an Egyptian citizen like? We can’t wait to find out!

There is so much to explore about the culture and it’s going to be a blast.

From coffee to fresh cut flowers, Kenya is full of surprises!

Safari anyone? Kenya is the world’s largest safari destination! We are excited to explore Kenya with our Hillside family.

Home to loads of landscapes and wildlife preserves there is so much to learn from Kenya. We will explore the different types of land and ocean animals that call Kenya home.

New continent, new fun! Join us as we adventure to the exotic and unique continent of Africa.

Our introductory lesson will include map work, an overview of the continent and a sneak peak into customs, culture and cuisine. You don’t want to miss it!

We will be learning about the countries of Egypt and Kenya in this unit.

Let’s try traditional Peruvian cuisine!

We will meet at 11:00. Students will be able to sample a variety of unique cuisines from across South America.

Get your backpack ready as we explore the fascinating country of Chile. Home of the tallest building in South America!

We will learn about some of the cities, animals and culture. We will “visit” the unique Easter Island and learn so much.
